Important Instructions
to be read before filling-up the application form
 
1. Students with following degrees can only apply:

 
a) M.Sc. (Biotechnology)
b) M.Sc. (Molecular & Human Genetics)
c) M.Sc. (Molecular Biology & Biotechnology)
d) M.Sc. (Agri-Biotechnology)
e) M.Sc. (Medical Biotechnology)
f) M.Sc. (Industrial Biotechnology)
g) M.Sc. (Marine Biotechnology)
h) M.Sc. (Environmental Biotechnology)
i) M.Sc. (Neuro Sciences)
j) M.Tech. (Biotechnology & Biochemical Engineering)
k) M.Tech. (Biotechnology)
l) M.Tech. (Bio- Process Technology)
m) M.Tech (Pharmaceutical Biotechnology)
n) M.V.Sc. (Animal Biotechnology)
o) B.Tech. (Biotechnology)
p) B.E. (Biotechnology)
   
2. Students with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade at highest degree level are only eligible to apply.
 
3. Students who have completed their degree in the year 2007 or 2008 are only eligible to apply.
 
4. Students from Indian universities can only apply.
5. A demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of “Biotech Consortium India Limited, New Delhi” towards non-refundable application fee along with a hard copy of the application submitted online and acknowledgement is to be sent at “Biotech Consortium India Limited, 5th floor, Anuvrat Bhawan, 210, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi-110002”. Please write your name, date of birth and contact phone no. on the reverse side of the demand draft.
 
6. The last date for submission of application is 15th June 2008.
 
7. The application would be accepted online only.
 
8. The online application form has to be filled within 20 minutes otherwise the page will expire.
 
9. It is mandatory to fill all fields.
 
10. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
 
11. Students whose result of last semester/final year is not declared can also apply mentioning their marks upto the semester/year upto which result declared. The final result with original mark sheet(s) of all the semesters/years will have to be produced at the time of interview.
 

 12. Students under SC/ST/OBC/PH category will have to produce a certificate at the time of appearing for interview, if called.
 

13. Students from DBT supported teaching programmes called for the interview will have to produce a certificate from their course coordinator/department head that their course is supported by Department of Biotechnology.
 
14. Students who have already undergone training under BITP or are employed will not be eligible.
 
15. Original/photocopy of certificates/testimonials etc. should not be attached with the hard copy of the application sent.
 
16. Students whose applications are found to be complete and eligible in all respects and are shortlisted will only be called for the interview. Individual intimation would be sent to the shortlisted candidates for interview.
 
17. Students called for interview will have to bring copy of their dissertation work.
 
18. Filling up this form does not guarantee training under BITP. The decision of the selection committee shall be final and binding.
 
19. Students who by their own efforts are able to obtain recommendations from companies for training will be given preference. They would also be required to undergo the selection procedure as described above. They can bring the acceptance letter from company while coming for the interview. However, the decision of the selection committee shall be final and binding.
 
20. Students selected for training will have to make their own arrangements for lodging & boarding, in case the trainer company is unable to provide.
 
21. The application form will not accept any special characters like: `~!@#$%^&*()_+|-=\[]{};:' ", . <>/ ? “ etc.
